Sage Accounting imports bank statements from a CSV with its own column names and order. StatementPro writes the four-column layout from the PDF statement, with the reference in a column Sage recognises.
No credit card required · 10 free pages every month.
Any UK bank. Purpose-built readers for HSBC, Lloyds, Revolut, Starling, Tide and Allica; our AI reads the rest.
The totals and the running balance have to agree with what the bank printed. If a statement can't be checked, or doesn't tie, it says so before you import anything.
One click gives you a CSV laid out the way Sage asks for it — then import it into the bank account.
Money in and money out are in their own columns, with the other left blank rather than 0.00, as Sage asks.
From Banking, find the bank account you want to import into, select Actions, then Import statement.
Browse to or drag in the CSV from StatementPro, select Review transactions, then choose day/month/year as the date format and Continue.
Check the transactions for errors, then select Confirm import. Sage keeps your choices for the next import.
Sage can't import foreign-currency statements, or transactions dated before your Accounts Start Date.
Importing a statement nobody has checked moves the problem into your ledger. StatementPro walks every transaction against the statement's own running balance and totals first, and tells you plainly when it couldn't.
Every date goes in as day/month/year. If a date can't be read without guessing — say, a statement that prints no year — the Sage file isn't made, rather than landing transactions in the wrong period.
Convert several statements together and StatementPro tells you when two of them cover the same days, so the same transactions don't go in twice.
The source PDF is deleted the moment conversion completes. The structured output is kept for 90 days by default (a year, if you choose that when you sign up) and is deletable anytime.
Date — day/month/year, separated by slashes; Description — never blank, one line; Money in; Money out; Reference — an extra column Sage recognises by name. Money in and money out are in their own columns, with the other left blank rather than 0.00, as Sage asks.

Any UK bank statement PDF. HSBC, first direct, Lloyds, Revolut, Starling, Tide and Allica have purpose-built readers; every other bank is read by our AI and checked the same way. Statements that are scanned or photographed are read too, and marked for a closer look.
Convert them together and download each statement's Sage file. Each file is one statement for one bank account, so it always goes into the right account.
