Is it safe to upload bank statements to a converter?
A bank statement holds names, account numbers and a full record of someone's spending. Before uploading one anywhere, these are the questions worth asking — and how StatementPro answers them.
Updated 20 October 2026
1. Who runs it, and where are they?
Look for a named company you can check. StatementPro is run by AX Studio Labs Ltd, registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17076527), and is subject to UK GDPR.
2. Is the PDF kept?
It shouldn't need to be. StatementPro does not keep the statement PDF after conversion.
3. Where is the data stored, and for how long?
StatementPro stores the extracted transactions in London (AWS eu-west-2) so you can re-download them: 90 days by default, or a year if you choose that at sign-up. A daily job deletes anything older.
4. Can you delete it yourself?
You should be able to, without asking. In StatementPro you can delete any conversion, or your whole account and everything in it, yourself, immediately.
5. Is it used to train AI?
Many converters use AI to read statements. StatementPro uses Anthropic's API, under terms that customer content is not used to train models.
6. Is it encrypted?
In transit and at rest. StatementPro uses TLS 1.2 or higher in transit and AES-256 at rest, and never sees or stores banking logins.
7. Does it check its own work?
Not a privacy question, but a safety one: figures that look right and aren't are a risk of their own. StatementPro checks every statement against its printed totals and running balance, and says when it can't.
